Hi. I'm Davee.

Welcome to my blog where I document my adventures in style, travel + all things MPLS. Mantra: I'm a firm believer that life is better all the way turnt up (keyword: turnt). Fair warning: I have a tendency to recite rap lyrics as a form of verbal communication (see last sentence for reference).

beauty lately.

kerastase hair milk | a leave-in conditioner that doubles as a detangler. in addition to applying on my hair immediately after a shower, i also put a glob into a spray bottle, add water & shake to turn into a spray-on conditioner to use in between washes. swear my hair is 10x healthier (au revoir split ends!) & easier to brush. the only downside? now that brushing my hair is not such a struggle, i'll have to find a new way to work out my biceps.

embryolisse lait-creme concentrate | this works as a face cleanser, primer & face lotion. anything multi-purpose is a winner for me. the gist: non-irritating, leaves my skin baby soft while prepping it for smooth application of foundation/make-up. need more proof of its cult following? it's currently s/o on net-a-porter.

caudalie beauty elixir, limited edition by l'wren scott | this grape, mint & rosemary infused face spray tightens pores, is anti-acne & gives skin a dewy, moisturized glow. i use as a toner before applying face lotion & throughout the day to set make-up and when i need a little pick-me-upper. oh and it doesn't hurt that the bottle was designed by the late, great l'wren scott (RIP).

fresh soy face cleanser | my quest for the perfect face wash has come to an end. this one clears my breakouts, is gentle (no tears) & doesn't dry out my skin. i'm a belieber, erh - believer.

true blue spa citrus body scrub | when i was about that retail life, i discovered this body scrub working at bath & body. the sugar crystals leave behind a sun-kissed glow and smoothness. oh, and the margarita scent feeds into my penchant for booze-inspired bath products (see: malin+goetz rum bar soap). tip: clean skin before use.

back to basics.
