My first year attending the U of M Senior Show & I'm a little ashamed I hadn't gone sooner. I've always heard great things, but I think what makes the Senior Show stand out is: a slew of young talent with fresh perspectives. Not to say the veterans are boring (far from it), just refreshing to see the rookies take a stab at it and impressive when they exceed expectations and deliver wonderfully executed and thoughtfully designed pieces. My favorites of the night: Claire Ward, Rika Van Heerde & Ellie Hottinger. Though there was plenty of talent that strutted down the runway - Claire Ward takes the cake for being most innovative. PVC, interesting material choices, crazy embellishments and dip-dye - the girl clearly knows the way to my heart (photos 5-7). #gimmeeverything
